What Causes Stiffness In Neck And Headache Post Colonoscopy?

My husband had a colonoscopy on Thursday. Everything went well. However, his neck starting getting stiff on Saturday, and now he can hardly move it. It is very tender and he has a bad headache on the back of his head. Is there a connection? When do we know to seek medical attention?

Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.

Neck stiffness and headache should not be related to the procedure itself, but can be related to the sedation used during the procedure.

If fever should add to these symptoms, and the headache with neck stiffness persist, you should definitely seek medical care.

Otherwise, you should not worry about.

Hope this helps. Please feel free using MHC again
