hello, doctor i lost my baby inside the stomach itself after 9 moths completed.the baby position is hyper extented neck.wt of baby also 4kg above. during pregnancy i had sugar.and i took the treatment.willu tell the reason why the baby has died?myage is 32yrs>my wt is 68kgs and i increased to80kgs during pregnancy and ht is 5.6.
you have history of diabetes as evident from your narration. Moreover the baby was overweight. 4 kg weight of the baby at 36+ weeks duration is definitely overweight baby. Babies of diabetic mother or diabetic babies though overweight behave like premature child. In Gestational diabetes, otherwise appearing normal baby may suddenly loose the heartbeats due to sudden death.
To avoid such accident again, please keep your diabetes well under control. even during pregnancy, have meticulous sugar control. pregnancy being an additional stress on the body, is a diabetogenic condition.
You should monitor your diabetes control by Glycated hamoglobin (HbA1C) levels in the blood.
Please report to diabetologist for diabetes control.
I hope this helps you.
