What Causes Stinging Sensation In Heart?
My son who's 9 sometimes complains of a stinging sensation near his heart. It can happen during exercise or when he's just sitting down. Last night he complained about the stinging and when I put my hand on his chest over his heart I could feel his heart pounding strongly out of his skin. He had just walked (not ran) up 2 flights of stairs. He is in excellent physical condition and plays many sports so walking up stairs has never been an issue for him.

i would advice, to get an EKG, next time he feels such bounding episodes, to rule out any heart rate or rhythm problem.
At this age, stinging sensation due to other cardiac problems like ischaemia, is very very uncommon. So don't worry.
