What Causes Stinging Sensation Under The Nipples?

I have a small area right under my left nipple that intermittently stings and burns. It only lasts for a second. It doesn't itch or there is no discoloration. Just a prickly, stinging sensation that only lasts for a second, and occurs intermittently.
