What Causes Stomach Ache, Delay In Periods When Had Protected Sex?
Me and my boyfriend had protected sex on the first day of my period September, 15. My period is very irregular and came five days before it was supposed to then. Now, I am six days late on my period and my stomach somewhat hurts. What could this mean?
Pregnancy is less in your case as you had protected intercourse and also even in irregular periods ovulation is not expected to occur during the first day of menstrual period. Usually menstrual cycle with the length of 21 to 35 days can be considered as normal only and also as you are having the previous history of irregular periods 6 days delay can be considered as normal for you.
During the premenstrual period some amount of abdominal cramps can be expected, so the symptoms you are having could be due to the premenstrual changes and possibly you may get the periods soon. If you do not get the periods, even after one week, please go for a blood test for pregnancy which can help in ruling out the possibility of pregnancy. Then you can take treatment for irregular periods with your doctor's advice.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
