Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. I just read through your question. There are several potential causes for these symptoms at this age. There are hormone related causes and there are kidney related causes. However, one of the more common causes for elevated blood pressure in this age group is something called "Essential Hypertension", which is another way of saying there is no known cause. All of these causes can, and should, be treated. I recommend consulting with your doctor about this so the correct diagnosis can be determined and the appropriate treatment plan implemented.
