What Causes Stomach Cramps And Bleeding After Sex After Laparoscopic Hysterectomy?
I had a full laproscopic hysterectomy in May. I had sex for the first time since the procedure last night and felt lower stomach cramps during and after along with some bleeding. My surgery was for endometrial cancer and my oncologist checked me out in August and said I was healing well. I had no idea that this pain could happen during and after sex and I'm concerned. What do you think?
Hello, Thank you for your query. Sorry that you had to go through all this.
Some amount of cramping is expected. However, it should gradually reduce and feel normal. Take it slow. Just foreplay and then slowly get back to regular intercourse. If you continue to have discomfort or symptoms worse, please see your gynecologist right away to check for any inflammation or subliminal infection.
Based on this a treatment plan may be initiated. Please be patient to and seek help. Don't let this bog you down. It will get better. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health

I recommend : -an OBGYN consult -an ultrasound abdomen. A CT scan of the abdomen may be required. -blood tests (complete blood count) -hormone replacement (if vaginal dryness is present), especially if ovaries were removed as well. Based on this a treatment plan may be initiated. Please be patient to and seek help. Don t let this bog you down. It will get better. Hope this helps.
