When you mention stomach cramps, I believe they are abdominal cramps in the lower area. 9 weeks pregnancy and brown vaginal discharge with abdominal crams is suggesting missed abortion wherein the baby inside has become nonviable and still not got aborted. The cramping pains suggest that the uterus is trying to throw the baby out. Please get the diagnosis confirmed. Urine pregnancy tests may not give reliable results as it take about a week or more for the pregnancy test to become negative after the baby has become nonviable. Ultrasonography would give you the better picture. It shows that baby is nonviable, please get the termination performed from an expert obstetrician without wasting any time lest the risk of serous complications like disseminated intravascular coagulopathy (DIC) wherein the blood looses its clotting property due to less fibrinogen left in it. Therefore in such condition where there is brown bleeding in pregnancy, we always get the tests done on the blood to assess its clotting property.
