What Causes Stomach Pain, Acidity And Mucus And Blood In Stool?
Hi, for the last 6 days I have had terrible pains in my stomach and terrible smelling wind, my food tastes very salty eventhough people around me say theirs is not extra salty. I have had diarrohea and white mucus and a little blood, it gets worse as the day progresses, what could I have?

Terrible pain in abdomen, very bad smelling gases, salty taste in mouth diarrhea with white mucus and little blood is mostly indicative of an intestinal infection which can be bacterial or mixed.
Hence, I would advise you the following in such a situation:
- Rush to your Doctor or ER for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations of stool, blood and urine.
- To get started on appropriate antibiotics, metronidazole and probiotics.
- You may need intravenous fluids, antibiotics, symptomatic and supportive management.
- If there is no nausea or vomiting take curds, yogurt, activated charcoal and bananas.
- Taste in the mouth is secondary to intestinal infection and usually settles with time needing no special treatment.
