What Causes Stomach Pain After Swallowing Food Or Drink?
Every time i swallow food or drink it hurts my stomach. I had mono really bad recently and the pain is hurting right where my liver used to bother me from being swollen. I take these huge pills every night and i took one the other night and it felt like it got stuck. It hurt my throat but since its moved to my stomach and gotten increasimgly worse.
You have pain abdomen more on right side and it increases after food and you have the fear of tablets getting stuck in throat..
Do not worry..It suggesting more an ulcer pain rather than a liver issue..
Any way because it is annoying you undergo a ultrasound liver and basic liver profile under guidance of a doctor in person.
If you fear for tablets getting stuck you need to stand erect and take around 250ml water with the tablet and continue to be erect for 30 minutes. If the medicines are short acting preparation you can crush the tablet and take also.(long acting preparation will have a note in the name like SR/ER etc.it will have release formulation and should not be crushed)
Hope this helps.
Take care.
