What Causes Stomach Pain And Headache In A Growing Child?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... My daughter has been complaining for two months of periodic stomach aches and headaches which are accompanied by a slight fever. These little bouts occur about once a week and last for only 5-6 hours and happen erratically. Could it be hormones since she is 12 and just started her menstrual cycle this week.
Hi...it could be hormonal or recurrent viral ilnless. To mak eyo umore comfortable I will describe how a viral illness can behave -
Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
