Generally cortisonics are prescribed together with antibiotics in severe colds, but in my opinion there is no need for them after 3 days of use. You are feeling better now and you are continuing the cure with antibiotics. Prednisone will only give you side effects if you continue taking it. Nausea and pain in the stomach are some of them. I would recommend you to finish the cure of amoxicillin as prescribed, and probiotics too, for diminishing the side effects. Take antibiotics 1 hour after meals and with plenty of water and your stomach will be less harmed. Quit prednisone. If you have further questions, please feel free to ask.
