Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

If the pain is not severe, she is otherwise playful and is gaining weight as usual, we need not worry. It is common for children to have occasional mild-moderate pain, especially around umbilicus. Avoiding caffeinated items, drinking enough water and including plenty of fruits and vegetables in diet might offer some help. If pain is significant or parents are so worried, I used to get CBC, EST and an ultrasound abdomen to be sure of the benign nature. Your pediatrician will guide in this.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
