What Causes Stomach Pain And Spotting After Unprotected Intercourse?
Hello. I am very stressed. I had unprotected sex a week after my period and a week after I stomach pain, spotting for one day and pain while urinating. I am currently on birth control and was at the time, but I know it is not 100 percent effective. I went and got tested for a uti and they told me it was negative that I didn t have bacteria in my urine, but I did have blood. Do you think I am pregnant? And when is the earliest I should take a test?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The pain and spotting you had one week after intercourse may be implantation bleeding after conception. You have to wait at least till your periods to confirm the diagnosis. You should wait for the period to occur, if delayed then do get a urine pregnancy test done to confirm the diagnosis and treatment should be done accordingly. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
