If I were your doctor, I would add a proton pump inhibitor and a prokinetic agent to your treatment regime along with the mucaine gel. Also I would advise you to go for bland diet without much spices in it. Elevating the head end of the bed by two blocks might give you some relief in the night time burning sensation.
