What Causes Stomach Pain,diarrhea And Clear Anal Discharge?

My stepfather had to have his upper part of his colon removed, he has been having some stmach pain and diarrhea, also he has had clear stuff coming from his bottom, but I thought that it was closed. He is in a rehab now, and the nurses said everything is normal, but I am not so sure? Does this sound normal to you?

Hi,

As per my surgical experience, diarrhea with anal discharge can be due to intestine infection, relapse of intestine pathology (for which colon was removed), etcetera.

Recommend to take stool microscopy and colonoscopy.
