Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Stomach Pains And Diarrhea With Vomiting?
since yesterday I have had very strong stomach pains at the top of my stomach and around to the sides every once in a while. My stool is completely liquid and yellowish with only smallish amounts coming out at a time frequently throughout the day. The pains were worse yesterday but were so bad that I couldn't get out of bed except to go to the bathroom. I vomited a couple of times yesterday but I figured it was bad jelly on my bagel that morning. My stool is the same today but the pains aren't nearly as often as yesterday and not quite as bad either. Could this be something serious?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Stomach cramps liquid yellow stools and vomiting is surely indicative of an intestinal infection unless proved otherwise. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation: Take antispasmodic to control pain. Electrolyte solution and plenty of oral fluids to maintain water and electrolyte solution. PPI like OMeprazole. Consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations of stool and blood. To get a prescription based antibiotic, metronidazole and probiotics.
