Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have twinges in my right side after eating. I would say it is about belly-button level, but a couple inches from my right side. It can be uncomfortable, but really nothing more than a twinge. I do notice it though and like I said right after eating. It has been going on for a couple months maybe. It doesn t linger.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of twinges in abdomen after eating, on the right side at the level of belly button. I would think of the following reasons: Enlarged stomach with gastritis. Colitis and the twinges appearing secondarily due to reflex mechanism. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get the upper GI Endoscopy, colonoscopy. CT scan of the abdomen as the problem is since long and it will help get the enteroclysis images on demand to see if there is any sub-acute obstruction. Take a PPI, laxative to have clear colon and see the results. Also get the tests of stool and blood. Further treatment depends upon the results of clinical evaluation by the Surgeon and reports of the investigations.
