Hello there doctors, i am Cathy 27 yrs old, i am experiencing frequent headache at my right lower head. I am suspecting that i have Stomach ulcer because after a eat i can feel hungry again in just couple of hours. it seems that i have not eaten anything.
Hi, Thanks for posting your query. I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you. Though the symptoms you have can be caused by a peptic ulcer, I would advise you to check your blood glucose level. The symptom you have which is called polyphagia is one of the classic symptoms of diabetes mellitus. So I would advise you to check your blood glucose first.
In general, peptic ulcers main symptom is pain. Such pain is usually associated with food intake. Chest burning, nausea, lack of appetite can be also present with an ulcer. Feeling hungry can be a part of stomach issues symptoms. And in some cases it can indicate an ulcer. However, feeling hungry can be also a symptom of other issues including pregnancy. So I suggest you to have pregnancy test first. Headache should be consulted with neurologist. For peptic ulcer diagnostics, gastroscopy should be done.
Such symptom can be caused by peptic ulcers indeed. However most common symptom of this issue is upper middle abdominal pain. Nausea can be also present. Headache is not a peptic ulcer symptom. Lower head pain can be related to spine problem, but its really hard to specify the exact reason without tests.
I suggest you to consult gastrologist and consider gastroscopy. With your headaches, neurologist should be consulted.
Hope this will help. Regards.
