What Causes Stomach Upset Along With Nausea While On Cipro?

hi I am a 62 year old female and have been taking Cipro 500 mg twice daily for 10 days. I have experienced an upset stomach and nausea and have managed to gain 3 pounds misteriously. I have a very itchy scalp. Could these be results from the antibiotic? momchrissykatie

I doubt the weight gain is from the Cipro drug, but the upset stomach and nausea certainly could be. The itchy scalp may also be due to the Cipro.

I suggest that you talk to the prescriber and see if they would want you to switch to a different medicine.
