What Causes Strain To Talk For A Person Who Had Hysterectomy 6-29-12?
I had a hysterectomy 6-29-12. I have had scratchy and muted voice for the past 6-7 weeks. Felt like I had to strain to talk. Returned to work on Monday and my throat is worse...no voice (after talking at work) and my throat no is starting to hurt. I am worried I may be doing damage ?
My Doctor seems unconcerned...and scheduled me to see a specialtist on 8-29-12. But what do I do until then?
hello, hysterectomy is not related to voice. straining of voice with d change of quality of voice suggests laryngitis due some reasons like common cold, voice abuse, chronic cough or it could be due to any infection. in my opinion till u see ur specialist u need to give absolute voice rest with steam inhalation, tab. ebastine 20 mg once daily for 5 days. all d best.
