What Causes Strange Sensations In Stomach After Having Antibiotics?

Just over the weekend it looks like o gained a lot of weight. A few weeks ago I thought I had a UTI. I took over the counter meds it wa s called AtoO I think. It seemed to help. But now my stomach looks weird qnsd feels kind of funny. I don t know of it has to do with what I thought was an uti. It has hurt a little but otherwise I ve felt okay except this weight gain has me worried.

Hello there,
I can understand your concern. It is not advisable to take over the counter medicines for infections as there is a need for antibiotics in these cases and it should be prescribed after examination and tests by a physician. What you are experiencing could be a side effect of the antibiotic causing acidity and stomach bloating or it could also be your UTI which is not completely cured. Are you having burning urine? If yes then the stomach ache will be lower abdomen and it could be because of bladder infection.
Try taking antacids and drink lots of water till you can go visit a physician who can examine you and suggest medicine based on clinical exam.
