Hi, I m a 25 year old man, over the last 10months I have lost 98pounds in weight, going from 21stone to 14stone. I m now noticing a lot of stretch marks, I want to lose about another 4stone before I then try to develop and build muscle onto my body instead of fat. My concern is about how much excess skin I will have leftover if I lose anymore weight? Will gaining more muscle onto my body after losing some more weight help? Am I doing this the right way? Please help.
stretch marks are formed when skin is stretched during weight gain but they become visible when you loose weight. so stretch marks you are seeing now have been formed way back, when you gained weight.
slow and steady weight loss is the best way to loose. usually after slow weight loss there is no significant excess skin.
yes once you start gaining muscles your body will look more toned.
although you have done a wonderful job by loosing so much weight my advice would be to add weight training now on, so that along with weight loss muscle building can be started. also strength training is a more efficient way of maintaining your weight loss.
good luck for your further weight loss and muscle gain. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
