What Causes Stretchy White Discharge Before Periods?
I have had little to no cervical mucous for 12 days past my ovulation, and if I did, it was thin and watery. But now my period is due tomorrow and I have a sudden drastic increase in stretchy, clear discharge like egg whites. This has never happened before, and I am not getting any signs that my period is coming. Does this sound like pregnancy or should I wait a few more days to see if my period comes?
Hi there, thanks for posting the query. Stretchy clear discharge doesn't seem like a sign of pregnancy as the secretions are more like milky and watery. And its quite normal to have a small amount of clear stretchy mucus just before your periods and it makes sense to assume that your discharge is just a normal variation and you may wait for your periods to start. If you happen to miss your periods then do take the urine pregnancy test to see what's happening. Hope this helps. Take care.
