What Causes Strong Odor After Urinating?

Hi I am a Sarcoidasis patient I have noticed that when I start to get sick I have a very pleasant odor only when I Am done urinating it s embarrassing now its worrying me because its stronger than ever my husband even smells it I can take several baths its still comes back in a few hours after cleaning myself up??

I am Dr Fahim, and I will be answering your health query . . .

     I have gone through your question and understood your concerns. To me it appears to be some kind Urinary Tract Infections causing such a foul smell. You need to take plenty of water to help you kidney to excrete the foul smelling substance. Moreover it is recommended that you go for URINE ROUTINE EXAMINATION AND URINE FOR CULTURE SENSITIVITY, which will tell us about the urine composition and organism responsible for the infection and will also guide us about appropriate antibiotics. Secondly you need ULTRASONOGRAPHY KIDNEYS, URETER AND URINARY BLADDER. This will help us to find any stricture/stone etc causing urinary stasis and making environment favorable for Urinary Tract Infection.
