What Causes Strong Odour With No Discharge, Itching And Burning Sensation In Vagina?
I'm not really sure if I have a urinary tract infection or possibly a case of BV or a yeast infection. I've had a past history of the last two and have had a UTI before but this seems a bit different than a UTI. It seems like I have been using the bathroom more frequently and I've been having what feels like cramps but I'm not on my period but I have no burning when I do use the bathroom. I have noticed in the last few days that I've been producing a strong odor but no discharge I've also been mildly itch and have been feeling a bit of a burning sensation but that may be due to the tissue down there is sore and sensitive.
Hi, Vaginitis can be associated with urinary tract infection and your symptoms are suggestive of this. I would ask you to get urinalysis and culture if needed, a vaginal swab and pap smear after a local examination. Incompletely treated past infections also can lead to recurrences. Diabetes also needs to be excluded. You would need vaginal creams and suppositories apart from oral medication, antihistamines to relieve the itching; prophylaxis may be needed for at least 3-4 months. Hope this helps.
