i have a 10 year old daughter who has very strong smelling urine, i don't know if this is an infection or normal for her age.Should i make an appointment with my g.p to discuss it? ( i did notice a thread about this subject but was confused as to the doctors conclusion!)
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer. This is not usual in kids and may be caused by some food, drinks and .medicines but also may indicate uroinfection or diabetes. So urine analysis and blood work should be done definitely.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
