What Causes Strong Stinging Sensation During Urination?
in the last three days I have experienced A strong stinging sensation when urinating - not uti - it stings externally on the labia. I had a baby 4 weeks ago and had tears that required no stitches and have since healed. My midwife checked the tears & said they were fine.
Labial pain can be caused by internal causes also as there is no visible lesion as told by you. Get a urine analysis done. If infection seen can take antibiotics which are safe for breastfeeding like Trimethoprim, Cefuroxime or amoxycillin. If no infection is seen then take tab Roliflo OD2 to relax bladder and its outlet (tamsulosin + tolterodine).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
