Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Strong Taste In Throat, Headache And Nausea After Light Laser?
I had green light laser on Monday and the catheter removed this morning. Today, when I pee I get a strong taste in the back of my throat, severe headache (much like an ice cream headache) that lasts 3-4 minutes, nausea, vertigo. I have never had these symptoms before. My dr. has been unavailable and I am wondering if I should be concerned. Thank you. - Jim YYYY@YYYY
As per my clinical experience, nausea, sore taste in throat sounds to be related to possible side effects of certain antibiotics which may be prescribed after the procedure for better healing and infection prevention.
A headache has to be addressed to your doctor for possible evaluation of changes in BP or else. Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids till you meet your doc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
