I HAVE A NEPHEW AND HE IS SMALL DOESN T GROW THAT MUCH MY NIECE IS TWO YEARS OLD AND SHE S TALLER THEN HIM AND HE S FIVE. HE CAN T GO TO THE BATHROOM ON HIS OWN AND WHEN HE DOES HE ACTS LIKE HE DOESN T KNOW WHATS COMING OUT OF HIS BODY. WHEN YOU ASK HIM TO DO SOMETHING IT TAKES HIM A MINUTE TO DO IT. HE LOOKS AT THE SKY ALL THE TIME WHEN YOU TALK TO HIM. WHEN YOU GET ON TO HIM ABOUT SOMETHING HE WILL JUST SIT THERE LOOKING AT THE FLOOR. ALL SO HE SMILES ALL THE TIME AND SAID S HI TO EVERY ONE. Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi

Welcome to the HCM

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. It seems that your nephew is suffering from a genetic syndrome or psychological disorder. It may be Down's syndrome, fragile X syndrome, angelmen syndrome, Autistic spectrum disorder or something else. He needs a complete evaluation by a pediatrician, genetics expert and psychotherapist for definitive diagnosis and management.

Hopefully this will be of help.
Take care
