What Causes Sudden And Shooting Groin, Foot, Thigh, Ankle Pain And Swelling?

What does it mean when you all the sudden get shooting pain in your groin then it shoots down the back of your knee into your foot and then your thigh and ankle swells and the pain is excruciating when standing whether or not if there is weight being put on my leg or not.

Thanks for your query.
The symptoms that you are having are likely to be due to a nerve root compression at the level oflumbar spine. You need to get an MRI scan of the area done and consult a neurophysician for proper diagnosis and treatment.
The main treatment of such pain is bed rest along with pain killers and muscle relaxants. Muscle relaxants can help with your symptoms if used in appropriate dosage in combination with a potent analgesic
