What Causes Sudden Fall In Blood Platelets Count?
For last three years I am having the problem of sudden decrease in platelete count which leaves me tired with breathing problem. Strangely there is no fever or other noticeable symptoms during the bout of sudden low plateletes. Please advice. Age 35 yrs, height 4.9' & weight 48 kg. Besides the platelete problem no other specific/major health problem except recurring cold.

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Sudden fall in platelet count may be due to simple viral infection. However you may have chronic ITP. You should go for bone marrow examination once. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then take treatment accordingly.
