Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve had three episodes of falling asleep or loss of consciousness over the last 5 days and I m very worried. The first time it happened, I was sitting in my car and the next thing I know it was 30 minutes later. A day later I was sitting on my bed reading a book and work up when I fell off the bed and onto the the floor. Last night I was eating an omelette and woke up when the plate hit the floor. What is happening to me? What do I do about this?
Sudden loss of consciousness may be due to seizure disorder with post ictal confusion or syncopal attack due to stress or anxiety or cardia problems or brain tumor or hypoglycemia or posterior circulation stroke etc. You have to avoid roaming lonely outside. Get it done complete blood picture, serum electrolytes, blood pressure, CT/MRI brain, EEG, ECG and blood sugar levels. Please consult your neurophysician/cardiologist they will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
