What Causes Sudden Pain In My Sinus?

I was sitting at my desk, working on my computer, when I suddenly felt a pain coming from my sinuses, like I had been really sick. Then, I felt something in my nose that hadn t been there... I, admittantly, stuck a finger into it to pull whatever it was out, but I felt that it was solid--and squishy. I held out my hand and blew out that nostril... and out came a pale, squishy, fat-like substance that broke apart when pressure was applied. Not I m having issues with my ears popping, and I have a headache. Is this serious?? I was crying earlier today, and I had to blow my nose a lot. Could it possibly be mucus of some kind? Or what?

Hi...
Welcome to HCM..
This was a thick mucus plug obstructing your sinus opening...you know when sinus is blocked it must have created a negative pressure...which has caused intense pain..and you have blown it out...don't worry just relax...just take tab paracetamol for pain relief if present ...take care... Any doubt write to HCM
