What Causes Sudden Passed Out With Cramps In Stomach?
My husband never had this happen to him before, but last night he had to have a BM and was in the bathroom for maybe two minutes, and he passed out and fell to the floor. I ran in there and he was not responding to my shaking him and calling his name, but then he opened his eyes and got up and didn t know what had happened. H was sweaty and said he was having bad cramps and felt sick to his stomic. Hes been fine since. What happened to him?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of your husband having a BM and fell down in the bathroom and had been unconscious to the extent that he did not remember what happened. He was sweaty and said had cramps and felt sick to his stomach. All these things indicate a few things: This could have been an attach of vaso-vagal where the vagus nerve gets over-active to cause such a problem. Another possibility is that he is having intestinal infection and electrolyte imbalance due to loss into third space also can cause the same problems. I would advise you the following: Keep a watch see if there are loose stools, fever, chills or so. If such symptoms develop, take hi to ER and get investigated and treated properly.
