What Causes Sudden Right-sided Pain In The Buttocks Radiating Towards The Leg?

One morning I woke up and got out of bed and I’ve been having pain on my right side from the buttocks down my right leg and sometimes causes numbness went to the ER they said that it could be spasms or tightness of this fine I’ve had this going on for three weeks now

Hello,

The sudden pain you felt from buttocks down to your right leg associated with occasional numbness could be due to spasms of the tiny muscles of the buttocks (piriformis) mimicking sciatica pain (piriformis syndrome). It might take some time until the muscle will come back to normal function and no spasm and pain is felt. I advise to run some exercises to relieve the spasms and pain. Take pain medications. Apply analgesic cream locally. Take magnesium and vit.B complex supplementation.
