What Causes Sudden Rise In Blood Sugar Level?

I have recently been having very high blood sugar (215) and i hadn t eaten in 8 hours (before breakfast) i am overweight my bmi is 25.6 . I was tested 2 years ago at my local doctors office (blood glucose fasting) and they said everything was normal but i did have hypoglycemia which still bothers me today. should i be tested again?

It would be best to have formal re testing done.

If you haven't eaten in 8 hours, then this blood sugar would be considered a fasting blood sugar. Normal fasting blood sugar is less than 100 mg/dl.

You should visit your doctor's office for a formal assessment with may include a repeat of the fasting or a HbA1c.
Normal HbA1c is less than 5.6%
