Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i recently went in for my eight week remicade infusion and found that my pulse rate was 130 bpm while waiting.....i have High Blood Pressure and am 42 yrs. old so .. they would not give me my infusion...what could have caused this all of a sudden....
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think that the doctors didn't give you Remicade because of the possible cardiac side effects in a person with tachycardia.
I recommend you to go to the cardiologist to do an ECG, a cardiac sonography and a 24 hours ECG holter Monitoring to see your heart health.

What Causes Sudden Rise In Heart Rate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. I think that the doctors didn t give you Remicade because of the possible cardiac side effects in a person with tachycardia. I recommend you to go to the cardiologist to do an ECG, a cardiac sonography and a 24 hours ECG holter Monitoring to see your heart health. If everything is fine and you have just sinus tachycardia, you may need a beta blocker. All the best!
