What Causes Sudden Rise In Sugar Levels In A Type I Diabetic?

I am a type one diabetic and I have been since I was five years old and now my blood sugar has been running extremely high since June 1 of this year is there anything I can take to keep my blood sugar level at a good level. I stoped drinking my Capri Sun Fruit Punches and Strawberry Kewi s too except for on last night and yesterday when my blood sugar got too low down to 39. I am pretty much weight loss obsessed and I am down to 136 pounds now and I was down to 133 pounds on Saturday of last weekend. Plus do you know of something I can take to keep me from being cold all of the time because I am honest to God cold all of the time????

Hi
I will try to answer your query
Its a complex concept that you want to understand
I will try to simplify as far as possible.

Type 1 diabetics basically do not produce good/sufficient/enough/appropriate type of insulin. It is difficult to know, without extensive tests that which of the four you have.
And since the treatment option remains the same, I usually dont suggest the tests in my patients.

Now Insulin is needed to bring down the sugar levels.
The sugar in the body is made to be absorbed in muscles for use via insulin.
So if your insulin is not good/sufficient/enough/appropriate, your blood sugar levels will rise.

Juices will increase blood sugars higher, therefore needing more insulin.
A good diet control and strict weight control are essential.

Eventually insulin is the best treatment in diabetes.

Hope that nformation helps
Best of luck
