Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 66-year-old female with type 2 diabetes. I am currently on the Bydureon pen and Metformin 1000 mg twice a day for it. They are working well. My last two A1C tests were 6.1 and 6.3. My question is: Every time I eat, I go to sleep. Actually, I don t knowingly go to sleep. I wake up and wonder what happened. I can be asleep for 10 minutes or 2 hours and didn t even know I went to sleep. This is scary for me. Could this happen while driving a car? What might be causing this?
