Hi Dr. Andrew my husband is 44 and he asked me for a glass of water and he walked around the side of the house and he passed out for about3 min, but before he passed out he became sweaty and his heart was pounding. please help need to get him in for a physical

Hello,

Sweating and palpitations with passing out may be a cardia condition like myocardial infarction or arrythmia or sick sinus syndrome lead to lack of blood supply to brain lead to passing out. Please lie him on the bed, check for blood pressure. blood sugar and hemoglobin status. Also ECG and echo cardiography is important. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
