Okay, I did not have a problem with my lips at all before I went to sleep. I don't kiss anyone, but I woke up this morning with a random upper swollen lip. I put ice on and it went down a bit but I am confused on how where it came from and what can I do to make it go away.
I have gone through your query and can understand..
As per your complain it seems like Allergic Angioedema of lip and it seems to be due to allergic reaction to some allergen like any bug bite or any food or medicine.. You can take a course of anti-allergics like benadryl or allegra or levocetrizine, keep doing cool compresses and also take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. In case if there is no improvement or there are recurring episodes you can consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and allergic testing like RAST test or food challenge test can help in ruling out the exact cause of allergic reaction and treatment can be planned accordingly..
Hope this information helps..
