Hi,
It is possible that the blood is due to a
urinary tract infection, this is one of the most common reasons. If you have burning or any discomfort on urination, passing urine more frequently, change in the color or odor of the urine,
abdominal pain, or fever- these may be in keeping with an infection
Another cause is a
kidney stone but this is usually associated with significant pain. Side effects of medication (meds that reduce clotting), trauma,
bleeding disorder are also causes. There are also more serious causes which are not as common eg: any lesions in part of the urinary tract, as stated these are not as common.
See your doctor, a simple urine test can check for infection and if present, antibiotics would be helpful. If infection is ruled out, then imaging by
ultrasound and bloods may be required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
