What Causes Sudden Weakness In One Side Of The Body?

I have experienced this event a few times over the last several months: sudden weakness in one side of the body - arm and leg let go at the same time - resulting in my dropping to the floor. I feel pretty much back to normal very quickly and can resume activities.

Hi
Sudden onset of weakness of one side of the which improves within 24 hours, as suggested by your history, is what we call transient ischemic attack. I would suggest you to consult your doctor soon to rule out other possible causes like migraine paralysis and treat accordingly as these transient ischemic attacks may be followed by stroke if not treated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
