What Causes Sudden Weight Gain And Bloated Stomach?
I ve gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time. my stomach is bloated. I have a pain upper left stomach near ribs just burns sometimes feels numb. I ve had an upper gi which showed inflammation redness but no where near where the burning is. No one can figure out what it is. Have had ex rays, ultrasounds, catscan and nothing shows. Dr says gastritis and gave me meds but it s been 3 weeks and symptoms are the same. Tested for h pylori and found nothing or any other major problem.
As you have undergone almost all investigation and which came normal except gastritis or inflammation.
You should take antibiotics (quinolones, antiprotozoals or amoxycillin derivatives) with anaerobic bacterial coverage with antacids like proton pump inhibitors(pantoprazole or rabeprazole) or digene and avoid oily, spicy, heavy foods which actually exaggerates pain and inflammation inside stomach.
If problem persists then you need to see gastroenterologist for complete course of treatment and for proper diagnosis.
Thanks.
