What Causes Sudden Weight Gain?

Hi, I'm 45 years old, female. I normally weigh around 134-136 pounds. I recently gained weight, despite no diet changes and working out three times a week. I've gained 8 pounds and have a very extended stomach that I never had. Is it possible to have some kind of tumor? I'm asking because my grandma had to have a tumor removed when she was my age. It was the size of a child's head.

hello.
welcome to healthcare magic.
I am Dr Nirav.

Though you have gained weight, usually tumor leads to weight loss.

As per your history, you have not changed the diet habits but you may be consuming more calories.
It may be due to high consumption of oil, butter, sweets, junk foods , etc.

If you still doubt for tumor than kindly visit a physician and have a sonography for abdomen.

Have a better health.
