hi,
Welcome to HCM
From your complaints I can understand that your major problems are
1) weight loss concern
2) concern regarding vitamin loss
3) increased thirst
Regarding weight loss, significant weight loss Is considered to be 10 percent loss in one month. if you had a loss of 8 kgs within a period of one month span it is consider significant and warrants investigation for the conditions like malignancies, chronic infections, etc. Any long standing infection like
typhoid,
malaria, etc can result in
rapid weight loss. However most of such conditions mentioned above are usually associated with other symptoms of
fever, weakness, etc.
Poor nutrition habits, excessive physical strain, exercise, can also lead to weight loss, which is normal. Therefore, if you have had any of these associated symptoms of infections like fever, have lost wieght more than 10 percent of your wieght in one month, wieght loss despite of good diet, etc in such case a physician consulantation is advisable.
For your question of losing
vitamins on drinking more water, it's not possible to lose vitamins by drinking more water. Viramins are consumed for general body process and are depleted on regular basis, poor nutrition, infections,
stress, etc does often result in its depletion. It's deficeincy can be managed by having short course of supplements, however only on the advice of doctor, as certain water insoluble vitamins are toxic in overdoses.
welcome for further suggestions.
