What Causes Sweating And Cold Flushes While Cooking?

Hi there, Most times when I eat cooked fruit, such as pies, my cheeks feel like they re sweating and cold...but nothing is actually visibly sweaty. This does not happen with eating other types of sugars and seems to dissipate after two to three minutes. Any ideas?

Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

What happens is, it's a reflex action to eating and is usually attached to some specific food item, and is totally normal. Mostly it happen with the spicy meals, but may happen with anything. No concerns of medical illness are related to it and this taken as normal. Some people get flushing of ears, some of the face and nose. Some people get runny nose, some get sweating on cheeks, nose or scalp.

So, relax and feel easy. It is all normal. You need no further follow up.

Hope I answered all of your questions. In future, if you need further, detailed and quick assistance on any health issue, feel free to ask me a question by writing my name as a reference in the start of your question. I will get back to you right away. Have a wonderful time ahead.

Regards!
