What Causes Sweating While Eating Certain Foods?

I am eating a sweet potato right now and broke out in a sweat while eating. This is not happening all the time but about 70% of the time. Today I went out to lunch and had a small salad and a luncheon serving of shrimp over pasta with a lemon sauce and sweet peppers and I did not sweat. What is going on - this is new. I do not have diabetes.

Welcome to healthcare magic.This is called gustatory hyperhidrosis. Is it restricted to your face? If nerve roots of auricultemporal nerve passing through parotid gland gets damaged then certain foodstuffs cause this excessive sweating. Consult your physician.
