What Causes Sweet Smelling Urine And Hair Loss In A 5 Year Old?
My 5 year old has a sweet smelling urine at times, and I don t think this is normal. Now I noticed a lock of her hair on the floor, and she said she didn t cut it.? I m not sure if something happened to her hair at school or if it would just fall out like that. I now wonder if the smelling urine and hair loss could be a symptom of something else. What could this be?

Hi...by what you quote I feel that this is fitting into a condition called Maple syrup urine disease. This is not a life threatening condition, but definitely needs evaluation. i suggest you get back to your pediatrician and get your daughter evaluated.
